Snipping Tool

If you have Windows 7 or later, you can use the “Snipping Tool” to capture an image from a portion of your screen (such as a chart) and then paste it into a document.  To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In Windows, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Snipping Tool.
  2. Using the select feature that opens, draw a rectangle around the image you want to capture.
  3. Open Paint, Powerpoint, or Word and hold “Ctrl” and press “V”. The screen shot you captured will be pasted into your document.
  4. You may then use the Crop and Resize tools in Paint, Powerpoint, or Word to reformat the image.

Screen Shot

Using the “Screen Shot” Feature of Windows, you can capture an image of your screen and paste it into a document. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Holding “Alt” and pressing the “PrntScr” button (normally above the keypad) will capture an image of the current window.
  2. Open Paint, Powerpoint, or Word and hold “Ctrl” and press “V”. The image you captured will be pasted into your document.
  3. You may then use the Crop and Resize tools in Paint, Powerpoint, or Word to reformat the image.

Save Image As…

You can right click on an individual chart and select the “Save Image As…” option. You may then save the image in the PNG format and insert that file into Word documents and Power Point presentations.

Export to PDF Link
You can use the Export to PDF link at the bottom of the dashboard page to export all the charts to a PDF document and copy them from there into another doucment. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Select the tab containing the reports you wish to copy, export, or print.
  2. Arrange the panels you wish to export into two columns at the left side of the dashboard by clicking the titles and dragging each panel to the appropriate location.
  3. Click on the Export to PDF link at the bottom of the dashboard page.
  4. A PDF document will open containing the charts and graphs from the tab you exported.
  5. You may then copy the reports to another document, and then print them.

NOTE:
A recommendation for cleaning up screen shots is to use Paint, Powerpoint, or Word’s Picture cropping features. This will allow you to “cut out” the panels you wish to view, and also allows for resizing the panel.
